Allies Align with Ally
Apologies, we can’t help ourselves when it comes to alliteration. :)
The Game Developer Conference in San Francisco has wrapped up, and we at Spirit Ai are humbled by the amount of press and interest we have had. Despite the rain, the hotel construction, and locations that guaranteed everyone hitting their step count, we spoke to hundreds of developers and several press members.
These are our favorites:
“But what happens when it all shifts to voice-based chat in the future?”
-Gordon Mah Ung, PC World
“Ally potentially makes it easier for small teams of moderators to find and snuff out toxicity among large user bases communicating over text chat, but Intel apparently sees the potential for more. “

“But it’s also true that games are a business focused on attracting as many customers as possible, and those customers need to be protected from abuse.”

“The computing giant is teaming with Spirit, which already provides automated text chat moderation via its Ally software, to provide that same degree of filtering for voice chat so that developers can ensure a safe, inclusive environment for their online games.”

Spirit AI will be at Casual Connect London on May 28–30, and probably talking more about using Ai to create character and help identify various player behaviors. That is, after all, pretty much what we do.
