A Word About Translations
King James Onlyists are wrong about this
There are many Bible translations available, and you might wonder which one to choose. Some people have their favorite, and they will suggest that one.
There is also a group called King James Onlyists, who claim that King James is the only real one and all the others are false. Now, it is a good translation, and it was the gold standard when it was done in 1611 a.d. But we now have older manuscripts, and the English language has changed some since then.
There is a website called BibleHub.Com, where you can check out a bunch of English and Spanish translations. There are other sites like this as well that have complete texts available for free.
Most of the modern translations are fine. One thing to note is that a translation is not the same thing as a paraphrase. A translation is where a large group of highly educated scholars translate from the oldest possible manuscripts. A paraphrase is where someone puts the bible in their own words to make it easy to understand.
You won’t go wrong with any translation you choose. Find the one you like best and go with that one. It is a good idea to read more than one.
