Soul Cleansing

I dig deep within my soul
searching, re-examining
everything I’ve learned
everything I’ve been told
every whisper I’ve heard
and yes, the shouts too
and if you’ve insulted me
crushed my heart
or made me cringe
I will rip you out
and toss you away
like sheets in the wind
