The Chakras are the energy centers in the body through which massive amounts of energy flow. The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel.’

It is literally a wheel of spinning energy vortex aligned inside the human body.

There are seven chakras and all of them serve a purpose. They are governed by spiritual laws and principles that we can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, and overall well-being.

The chakras are recharged through contact with the stream of energy found all around us. Through water. Through earth. Through air and through fire.

What Is The Root Chakra?

The root chakra is the first chakra. It is associated with the color red and is located at the base of the spine.

It is the chakra closest to earth and therefore concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival.

It is associated with the legs and feet, so it controls our fight-or-flight response. It relates to the ground, water, animals, and nature.
