Wounded people in need of understanding, forgiveness, love
Mercy is to give another chance when another chance is undeserved.
Who among us has never wished to be given another chance?
Yet, it’s tempting to deny others a chance. After all, they don’t deserve it, in our eyes. That drifting homeless guy. That obnoxious road bully. That lying coworker. That’s who they are. That’s their very nature.
Us? We’re not drifters, obnoxious or liars. We’re good guys. We’re just occasionally obstinate, sometimes procrastinate, and we only tell white lies when white lies will serve the greater good.
We deserve another chance. Not the other guys. They don’t deserve it.
