The night has set in
but moonless,
yet beaming!

Festival of lights is here
bringing laughter & joy
piercing through the darkness
as diyas* & lanterns adorn our homes
echoing the victory over evil
with winter around the corner
sparkle some joy, dance and jive!

but it is time when darkness sees,
sees this ray of light
from the flame of the lamp like mine,
penetrating deep inside our lives,
every nook, and corner
purifying our hearts,
the deepest corners of the homes,
purifying the darkest corners
of the heart and mind,
making us shimmer & shine,
to get encouraged, as there’s hope,
perched in that shimmery light,
that needs to be seen,
to fight, to keep fighting,
and things, definitely,
would turn out to be better.

wishing and greeting everyone
with a pure heart and nothing else
Happy Diwali:)!

India is shimmering with the glow of a billion diyas as we celebrate Diwali starting 2 Nov’21 to 7 Nov’21 this year.

*Diya — A Diya or deep is an oil lamp usually made from clay, with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils. Diyas are native to the Indian subcontinent often used in Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian religious festivals such as Diwali or the Kushti ceremony (source Wikipedia)
