A spring day
I meander outdoors
A walkabout
How much greener
Grows the grass
And trees show off their buds
Smiling flower faces
Nodding
As I go by
I pause to smile back
And sway in the breeze
The daffodils and me.
Simple and easy
Joyous and free
The daffodils and me
Inspired by William Wordsworth, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” (1802)
“…And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.”
