Clear my path
for the journey I am about to take.
I am leaving all things behind.
When I say, “No more,”
tell me,
“Pause.”
When I say, “Take me back,”
point ahead, say,
“We’re almost there.”
When I forget why
I even started this journey,
say,
“Remember —
pain makes you human
and loving it
brings you closer to heaven.”
