Nature’s Artistry

She never takes more than needed
steadfast in life
affirming: we’re okay
even if we don’t know it today
we’ll be revived tomorrow
lessons from rain
from Allah
our eyes like oceans commands submission to a will greater than what we may see;
you know I’ve seen sand breathe?
heard tongues lift from silence
into prayers of gratitude.
Sometimes sun gets shy
like we do
and moon hides behind teary puffed clouds
holding storms
until the right time
comes to replenish our souls.
