Setting the foundation for a stronger spiritual connection.

There is a beautiful story in Hindu mythology about Lord Ganesha (the elephant-headed god) and his brother Karthikeya.

One day the two brothers decided that they should race each other three times around the world. Whoever finishes first gets bragging rights.

When the time was set, Karthikeya got onto his vehicle of choice: a peacock. He flew the peacock with such grace and velocity!

He flew around the world once — around continents and the mountains.
He went around twice — crossing the seven seas and remote islands.
He went around the third time — making sure to cross the ever frozen poles of the planet.

All this while, Lord Ganesha was just watching his brother.
What was his plan?

When he saw Karthikeya returning, Lord Ganesha stood up with gusto, went to his parents and walked around them in circles: Once! Twice! and a third time before his brother landed the peacock and declared that he had won!

Karthikeya couldn’t believe his eyes! He asked his brother to explain.
