A Poem for the inner child

Birds in the trees
Sun on my face
My inner child screams
For a little more play
Rolling in the grass
Mesmerized by the bees
The little boy is joyful
That I listened to his pleas
Whether he’s happy or sad
I’ll pay attention to his needs
The inner child my guide
That can set my soul free.
