The Prison Gate’s Wide Open

Poetry

Why stand inside the prison
when the gate is open wide.
The Sun’s already risen,
there’s no need for you to hide.

The chains that bound are broken,
they won’t scar you anymore.
The prison gate’s wide open
and the keys are on the floor.

I studied religion at the UC-Berkeley and have been interested in the spirit ever since. I try to give my poems a spiritual aspect whenever possible.
