Today I pray for you
to experience the joys
of life,
with its twists and turns,
to savor the salty taste
of the tears of joy
and of the tears of grief,
to remember the salty taste
of sweat and of blood
and to recognize
it’s the same
saltwater of the mighty ocean,
for as it is without
so it’s within you.
