The NSA of America

Spoken word poem

The NSA of America may think that they are like God,

but surely they say, they’re not,

browsing and searching

every bit of our hearts,

Capturing and updating

every chat we make,

every picture we make,

every smile we fake,

every prayer we pray.

But thank God they are not like God,

God would never judge us, based on our digital appearance,

because He is the only one able to read

beyond the lines of our digital behaviour.

Decoding our most deepest of dreams

Decrypting our most private of thoughts.

On one site He is embracing

On the other He is erasing

But always gracefully facing

Every bit of our lives.

And the NSA of America,

Is certainly not.
