Bollywood Meets Blockchain — Bollywood media streaming giant Spuul kickstarted its Asia World Tour with conferences in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore consecutively. The tour, spanning across May and June, is part of Spuul’s concerted efforts to showcase its latest project: Spokkz (Webite: www.spokkz.com, Telegram: https://t.me/SpokkzOfficial) , an ambitious venture to incorporate blockchain technology into its media streaming platform.

The scoop on Spokkz was delivered by none other than the esteemed Mr. S. Mohan, the project’s co-founder, who showcased the limitless possibilities blockchain brings to the media arena. With an extensive reach of 52 million viewers worldwide — of which 4 million are paid subscribers — Spuul aims to create its own Spokkz cryptocurrency tokens which viewers can use to crowdfund and support their favourite shows while they’re still in-the-making.

The concept garnered much interest and hype among today’s Netflix-savvy audience. A well-known rival of Netflix that specialises in the Bollywood sphere, Spuul’s ambitious plan to launch its cryptocurrency venture Spokkz as an interactive, current and secure way to gain support for its growing media industry was one that brought a breath of fresh air into the bustling blockchain industry. Its vision of empowering its audience with the sponsorship power to influence the direction of films was well-received, with some audience members clamouring to chat with Mr. Mohan in the networking session.

The conference was rounded up by tour partner Usechain’s Professor Cao who proposed a unique Identity-based blockchain technology aiming to dispel the distrust revolving around the anonymity of blockchain.

With 52 million Spuul users already having access to Spokkz’ digital wallets, Spuul seems all set for success. Having aroused much interest in the Hong Kong leg of the tour (as pictured) and achieving a similar reception from Japan and Singapore, Spuul is well on its way to becoming the first blockchain-backed Bollywood streaming platform taking the entertainment industry by storm.

The cozy event in Hong Kong took place on 24th May 2018 at Hong Kong’s Garage Society, Wan Chai, followed by an appearance at Japan’s Inbound league Shinjuku on 26th May 2018. The Asia tour was concluded at Singapore’s Suntec City Convention Centre on 30th May 2018.
