Why Sports Coaches Need Spond

There is no doubt that we live a hectic everyday life and we don’t always feel that we have the capacity to do everything that is expected from us. There is work, delivery at school and kindergarten, cooking, and top of everything comes the time when kids are going to practice and match. It could be the perfect time to freak out and feel the frustration of everything that needs to be planned and organized, so what better than an app that can make your day a little easier?

Spond is designed to do just this, making everyday life a bit easier to handle, both for parents and kids. One of the great things about growing up is attending various sports, making new friends, trying out new things and feel the sense of achievement, all this and much more helps our children to grow and become who they are. But it is no secret that sports are time consuming, there is a lot that have to match up before you send your kids off to practice and match.

This is where Spond plays an important part, to make sure that all these important things actually do match up for you and your kids. Spond is an app that is designed for coaches, parents and kids, a place where all the organization of sports are happening. It is designed to make things easier, so that your mailbox is not filled with things that you don’t have control of, but rather an app that gives you a complete overview of everything from practice, match, tournaments and social gatherings. Does it sound too good to be true? We have talked to a couple of parents who have adopted Spond into their family with open arms.

“I have to girls playing both handball and football, and the planning and organization of the sports took a lot of time before we got Spond. The different teams used various platforms, so I had to go through everything from Facebook, email and text messages. This is no longer a problem due to Spond, where I now get all the information gathered on the same channel,” says Katrin Lervik.

Spond also has a function where kids can participate in dialogues and where they themselves can reply if they can attend practice and matches, something Lervik thinks is positive for the kids:

“Most of the time I always have full control of when the girls are supposed to be on practice or match, but when I’m not there, Spond is crucial tool in our life. I think Spond is a positive app for the kids when they get older and it’s time for them to have control of their everyday lives. When they reach the age of 13 and become young adults, it is important that they can help themselves and have control over what is happening. When the children have Spond, they have the possibility to check themselves when they have practice and matches so that it will be easier for them to plan social things with friends outside sports.”

The more kids you have, the more is there to be organized and planned. You have to check if your family can come to grandmother’s dinner party on Sunday, or if one of your kids have a match planned in the calendar. Geir Kløvfjell has two girls and sees the value of using Spond:

“My girls are doing several different sports, so I feel that Spond has made my days a bit easier. I’m such an old-fashioned father who likes simple things and can’t handle too much technical stuff, and Spond is easy to use.”

Kløvfjell also believes that Spond facilitates the administrative organization around the team and makes it easier to keep everything under control:

“At Spond you can see who has answered and who you have to call up to get an answer. Now I don’t have to look through 100 emails anymore, I just log into Spond, go to the event and look there instead. Everything from practice, matches and tournaments has become much easier with Spond, both for parents and coaches.”
