Easter is less than a month away and creators on social media are already creating content around the topic.

Videos are firing up YouTube including DIYs, décor, edible treats and hacks to help viewers make the holiday special.

Easter outfits, makeup, shopping hauls and Spring cleaning inspired content is also making an appearance this year, similar to videos published in 2017.

For example, this video by UK creator Zoella called 6 Quick & Easy Easter Treats reached more than 3.6M viewers.

It was published a couple of weeks before Easter last year as creators were producing on trend content in the build up to the holiday.

We predict they will do the same this year as search interest in Easter begins to grow from now on.

In 2017 search interest in the trend peaked in Easter week around the 9th to the 15th of April.

This year audience interest in Easter content is already developing and growing steadily, it will most likely peak again in Easter week — the last week of March.

In the last 12 months, according to Google Trends data, the country with the highest search interest in the topic was the US.

This was followed by Turkey, New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

This year it is likely more Easter videos will be created compared to last year, to account for the increased number of creators on YouTube and a bigger YouTube audience.

Videos will start to appear in greater force from next week and for the subsequent fortnight until Easter Sunday.

As creators plan and begin to produce their Easter related content in time for the peak of the seasonal trend, now is a good time to approach them for timely branded content collaborations.

Jumping on the Easter trend is a simple way for brands to work with creators to produce branded content as the audience is already expecting these videos and anticipating the content. This means the audience is already present and engaged.

As can be seen from the graph below, Easter DIY themed videos were the most popular last year and already charging ahead in terms of search interest this year.
