Spooky Pets 011: Action!
Happy Tuesday, happy November and happy All Saints Day to all of our spooky friends! In many traditions, November first marks the beginning of a season of giving and of gratitude. And as always, we are fans of the former and filled with the latter. So thanks again, everyone, for helping us impact the lives of needy animals every week, and thanks for having fun with us while we do it!
This week, our community has selected Action For Animals Humane Society in PA as our featured rescue. Dating to 1983, AFA is a non-profit, non-government funded, no-kill shelter in Westmoreland County, PA. In addition to rescuing 7–800 pets per year, AFA also offers low cost spay and neuter services to help reduce the number of animals who need to be rescued every year. AFA has beautiful grounds and facilities and gives all of the animals in its charge the best care possible.
We have donated $1000 to AFA and have reached out to the AFA team to learn more about any priority or urgent animals in their care and will update this post as soon as we know more, but you can find all of their adoptable pets here!
