Spool DAO is proud to introduce Karl-Michael Henneking as Spool’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Karl-Michael has an impressive global track record in senior marketing and strategy positions in blue chip tech companies. Additionally, he helped to build up start-ups and multi-billion dollar businesses from scratch and knows how to accelerate companies and projects in their growth journeys. Karl-Michael is well versed not only in fintech but in particular in all things digital assets for institutional investors. We are very happy to have Karl-Michael onboard. His skill set and experience will help Spool DAO to develop and execute an all-encompassing marketing strategy to unlock untapped capital in DeFi and TradFi markets.
In a brief interview, we asked him what he thinks about Spool, how he can help the project, and why he decided to join the project.
What excites you about Spool?
A whole lot of things. I really don’t know where to start. But in a nutshell, I think it’s this unique blend of a super competent and highly committed team, a platform that revolutionizes DeFi, a great community, and strong backing by highly experienced DAO members. There are not too many places in the crypto industry where all this comes together.
Why does the world need Spool?
DeFi is way too complicated to use at the moment. Spool radically removes that complexity. Spool makes DeFi yield farming as easy as investing in an ETF in the traditional finance world. And Spool offers more, it also allows deploying your own yield farming portfolio and risk model in a few clicks. It’s like configuring your own ETF once and Spool takes care of the rest. That’s why Spool is destined to become the DeFi gateway and operating system of the future.
What legacy/impact do you wish to leave?
Do you want me to write my own funeral eulogy? Joking aside, as a marketing team we work on building up the awareness for, understanding of, and trust in Spool. What does this mean:
1) We create the awareness for Spool in the market, that this powerful platform deserves. That’s within the crypto space as well as with our partners in the TradFi world.
2) We make Spool’s unique proposition crystal clear to our different user segments in their respective language reaching out to them via the communication channels they are most familiar with. Considering the multiple benefits of Spool and the different user segments we are communicating with, this is a challenging undertaking.
3) We build trust. How the DAO was built, the Liquidity Bootstrapping Pool to raise funds, the way the platform is architected, the comprehensive Github documentation, and the tokenomics demonstrate that Spool is not just one of ‘those’ crypto projects, but it’s here to stay for the long-term.
My legacy: To have helped to make Spool THE gateway to DeFi for all users and with this, thinking big, having opened up the DeFi market to the world, and not just a niche community.
What’s something interesting about you that people wouldn’t expect?
See, I’m the kind of boring person you wouldn’t like to invite to a dinner or party. I don’t drink alcohol, eat vegetarian food, avoid salt and hardly drink coffee. In addition, I like to talk about crypto and emerging tech most of the time.
So if you invite me, the risk is on you.
But wait, there’s maybe one goodie: I have worked and lived in more than 30 countries, so always open to a small talk about those unique places.
