Nothing Will Ever Change…?

Almost 5 years ago I was a completely different person. Those who have known me since then have been astounded at the change they’ve seen in me because the person I am now is so alien to who I was back then. I used to behave as though I didn’t care about myself and the universe repaid me in kind.

The way we behave towards ourselves is the way others will behave towards us — because everything you attract to you will be of a similar frequency to the one you are emitting to the universe. When your behaviour signifies that you don’t care about yourself — everything around you will reflect that.

I was in a dysfunctional, abusive relationship with someone who was trying to destroy me and I realised that this was because I was intent on destroying myself. I had many self-destructive tendencies at the time and this person encouraged me to indulge in them.

When I decided to take care of myself these kinds of people were naturally filtered out of my life and I was able to attract a relationship that served me. This person encouraged me to express myself and discouraged my self-destructive tendencies — the universe understood my change in frequency.

This period of my life taught me many lessons but the one I’d like to highlight today is — the universe understands what we ARE not what we WANT. If you want something you must embody it in yourself first and act in a way that reflects what you want.

I was searching for was peace within myself but I was looking in all the wrong places. It’s not to be found at the bottom of bottles of alcohol or in others — but within ourselves. Once I changed my behaviour to eliminate the things that didn’t bring me peace I was presented with opportunities to find it within.

You must become the change you seek in your life.

Peace & positive vibes.
