5 Things Every Fulfilling Relationship Needs

1. Communication — we need to talk. If we don’t communicate our true desires with our partner we can find that our relationships become dysfunctional and full of destructive tendencies like using passive-aggressive comments to avoid addressing our issues directly.

2. Happiness — it’s fun to be together. What’s the point of being here and having this human experience if we’re not having fun? Life’s too short to be in a relationship that’s boring — fulfilment comes from being happy with the way our lives look.

3. Space — having time apart. It’s been said that absence makes the heart grow fonder, during this absence we can spend time with ourselves and nurture the relationship we have with ourselves. This is essential for having healthy relationships with others, as all relationships are based on the one we have with ourselves.

4. Trust — takes time to build but a second to break. Many of us have trust issues because we’ve been hurt in the past. It’s important to acknowledge that we will never be able to experience a deeply fulfilling relationship unless we learn to trust again, whilst also paying attention to how we feel.

5. Authenticity — being true to ourselves. We have to be real with ourselves and prioritise our needs above all else if we are want to attract a partner that loves and respects us instead of settling for less for fear of being alone. If we settle for a relationship that doesn’t make us happy we are lying to ourselves and will attract others who lie to us.

Attracting a fulfilling relationship starts with you loving yourself.

Peace & positive vibes.
