How To Be Confident

1. Self-love — loving & accepting ourselves for the way we are. Seeking acceptance from the outside world is insecurity — the opposite of confidence. We must love and accept ourselves first and acknowledge that regardless of how others perceive us we will always have a loving & fulfilling relationship with ourselves to come home to.

2. Solitude — spending time with ourselves. Looking within and being able to sit with our thoughts, memories & emotions is how we develop knowledge of self. Through the acquisition of knowledge of self we build confidence.

3. Tribe — people who nurture & support us. Surrounding ourselves with positive people who want to see us win heavily influences the way we see ourselves. The way we see ourselves determines how confident we feel.

4. Exercise — moving into our natural shape. Many of us lack confidence because of the way we look and this is why it’s imperative that we exercise. Not only does exercise stimulate the release of endorphins from the brain but over time we see a total body transformation as we move into our natural shape.

5. Perspective — we’re all going to die one day. There are many reasons to feel insecure, we must regain perspective and remind ourselves of what’s truly important. We can do this by reflecting on the fact that we’re only here for a limited time and asking ourselves “do I really want to waste that time caring so much about what others think of me?”

6. Affirmations — reinforcing positive beliefs. Reciting powerful incantations such as “I am beautiful, I am confident, I am successful” encourages the subconscious mind to create thoughts based on positive beliefs which inspire confidence.

7. Environment — a seed will not grow in toxic soil. In order for us to nurture our seed of confidence, we must provide ourselves optimal growing conditions. This means being highly selective about who we spend our time with, what we do and what we focus on.

Confidence comes from within.
