7 Things You Can Use As Motivation

1. Passion — doing what we love. Operating from the mindset of “I get to” instead of “I have to” is the difference between “grinding” and living our dreams.

2. Today — the present moment. We only ever have the present moment — saying “I’ll do it tomorrow” doesn’t make sense because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

3. Yesterday — lessons from the past. Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is called insanity — we must integrate what we’ve learned from the past and apply it to our present day.

4. Tomorrow — the future we want to live in. If we want to have things we’ve never had we must be prepared to do things we’ve never done. Our future is created by what we choose to do today.

5. Dreams — things that make our lives worth living. The desire for something, someone or somewhere we don’t currently have can be the catalyst that propels us into action.

6. Fears — resigning to mediocrity. Knowing that we will be living the same day on repeat until we die can strike a certain amount of fear in us that gives us a sense of urgency instead of hoping something will happen out of the blue.

7. Death — this too shall pass. Everything is temporary so we can ask ourselves “why am I taking this all so seriously?” which dissipates fears around what others will think and leaves us with nothing but opportunities.
