7 Mindfulness Hacks You Need To Use Today

1. Breath — centering ourselves. Taking long, deep breaths and being aware of how each breath feels as it enters and leaves us is a powerful way of tuning into the now because we’re focusing on the sensations that are happening to us in the present moment.

2. Food — truly experiencing the sensation of taste & smell. Our mouths & noses are extremely sensitive, paying close attention to the sensation of how food smells and tastes bring us into the now and this is where we experience our deepest joy.

3. Exercise — moving into the body. The body is always present, but the mind rarely ever is — exercising is a great way to ground ourselves in the now. We tune into the body through the senses and getting our heart rate up is a great way of heightening our senses.

4. Meditation — checking in with ourselves. Meditation is time for us to observe where we’re at internally — through observing our thoughts we are able to identify whether or not they match up to the reality we want to create.

5. Nature — the natural frequency of the planet. Immersing ourselves in nature allows us to be at one with ourselves because we are away from the manmade distractions that prevent us from looking within. This also strengthens the relationship we have with ourselves.

6. Conversation — connecting with others. Speaking with others is an opportunity for us to experience the world through the eyes of a reflection of ourselves. Meaningful conversations bring us into the now because we want to be present instead of daydreaming to escape mundane conversations.

7. Touch — experiencing the now through the body. When we’re in physical connection with others we are using the body to ground ourselves in the now. Touch is one of our most powerful senses and it can be used as a method of being truly present with others so we can spend quality time with them.

Life is happening in the now — nowhere else.

Peace & positive vibes.
