5 Ways You Can Love Yourself Today

Loving yourself will improve the relationship you have with yourself — by doing this you will attract more love into your life because you are creating your own from within.

1. Meditation — time to be completely present with yourself. Create time, even if it’s only 2 minutes, to be in the now with yourself. Listen to your self-talk during this meditation time and hear what your body and spirit are trying to tell you. Use your meditations as an opportunity to get to know yourself better — through this you will feel less conflicted when making decisions in your life.

2. Self-love dates — take yourself out, you deserve it. You might be looking for a relationship where your partner spoils you — cut out the middle man and spoil yourself. Take yourself out on the dates you wish you could go on with someone else — this helps you to enter the love vibration and will attract relationships of the same type to you.

3. Creativity — express your soul. When we create we are allowing the soul, the consciousness that drives our bodies, to express itself. From this expression of the soul we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and use what we’ve learnt to improve our lives. Create something and ask yourself — what does this say about me?

4. People — surround yourself with people you love. Surrounding yourself with positive energy is a great way to show yourself some love — putting yourself in a negative environment is one of the ways we show ourselves neglect. Self-love is all about repairing and strengthening the relationship we have with ourselves — this can be done with the help of others who will help us to learn and grow.

5. Journaling — keep track of your progress. Documenting your journey can help you to keep track of your emotional state and allow you to take a 3rd person perspective of yourself. This can be extremely beneficial when we are experiencing negative emotions, we can write them down and reflect on them from a higher perspective and see if they still hold the same weight.
