7 Ways You Can Love Yourself Today

1. Community — surrounding ourselves with a positive vibe tribe. Spending time with the people that make us feel good is essential when it comes to self-love because the opposite of self-love is surrounding ourselves with people, places and things that don’t fulfill us.

2. Self-love dates — showing ourselves a good time. Instead of relying on others to treat us the way we want to be treated — we can take responsibility for how we feel and do the things that make us feel good. Whether it’s dinner and a movie or a night under the stars — self-love dates are opportunities to work on the relationship we have with ourselves.

3. Exercise — taking care of our mental & physical health. Working out our emotions during exercise stops them from manifesting in negative ways such as disease. Loving ourselves means prioritising our mental & physical health above all else.

4. Rest — giving ourselves time to relax. Of course, it’s important to take action on our goals, but we must also make time to do nothing to allow the body & mind time to recharge. Getting at least 6 hours of sleep tonight is a great place to start.

5. Cleanliness — keeping our bodies & minds clean. Cleaning ourselves regularly is how we maintain the health of our body while we’re on the planet. Clearing our minds with practices such as meditation allows us to fully experience our time here and effectively deal with distractions from the present moment such as negative thoughts.

6. Creativity — expressing our emotions. Being creative gives us an opportunity to express emotions which stops them from building up and manifesting as poor mental or physical health. Dancing, singing, cooking, drawing or engineering — we’re all different and need to find out what works for ourselves individually.

7. Authenticity — being true to ourselves. When what we say, think and do are all in harmony — this is when we will know peace. To create this peace we must be willing to prioritise our fulfillment over the expectations of others — saying yes when we want to say yes and no when we mean no.

When what we say, think & do are in harmony — then we will know peace.

Peace & positive vibes.
