8 Things That Will Help You Become Successful

1. Purpose — having a strong why. If our mission is important to us we will find a way to make it work and never accept failure as our final destination. When we have a strong why the how takes care of itself.

2. Determination — the willingness to push forward. The road to success is filled with obstacles, if we fall at the first hurdle we must be willing to try again — or else we will never have what we seek.

3. Meditation — checking in with ourselves. Making time to be present with ourselves allows time to detach from the movement of thought and simply be. This downtime for the mind gives us a sense of perspective and helps us observe that there is no rush — we’re exactly where we need to be.

4. Exercise — moving into the body. When we exercise we are allowing toxins to leave the body as well as stimulating the release of endorphins from the brain. These feel-good chemicals can help us to find balance when the journey proves difficult.

5. Diet — what we feed the body & mind. Eating healthy foods & consuming content that will encourage us to succeed is how we prime the body & mind for success. If we want high performance we must feed ourselves appropriately — we wouldn’t put cheap fuel in a Ferrari, so why feed ourselves anything less than the best?

6. Tribe — the people we spend time with. We become the average of the people we spend the most time with, if we want to achieve our goals we must surround ourselves with people who nurture our growth and support our dreams.

7. Mindfulness — grounding ourselves in the now. Our minds become distracted frequently throughout the day, practicing mindfulness helps us to ground ourselves in the present moment and focus on the task at hand.

8. Passion — loving what we do. The only way to do great things is to love what we do, if we don’t have a passion for what we’re doing — we won’t be successful. Indeed, we can make money without having passion for what we do, but can we truly call ourselves successful if we don’t enjoy what we do?
