How Do You Define Success?

Society places expectations on us from the day we’re born until the day we transition out of our bodies. These expectations include the idea that we must be earning a certain amount of money or living a certain lifestyle in order to be deemed “successful”.

We end up working jobs we hate and settling for relationships that don’t serve us because we’re trying to live up to the idea of success others have outlined for us. No matter how “good” it makes us look on the outside, it’s not worth how it makes us feel on the inside because success is not the manifestation of poor mental health.

The definition of success will be different for each of us, but there are commonalities for all of us such as the desire for health, friends, family, peace & love. In order to manifest any of the above, we must be in living in alignment with what we know to be true & doing what we love every day.

The examples of those who rose to the heights of superstardom often end in a rapid decline into the manifestation of poor mental and/or physical health. This is because they were trying to fill their lives with worldly things to distract from their suffering within.

The void they were trying to fill can only be filled by nourishing the soul, but nourishment for the soul cannot be obtained from worldly things such as material possessions, food, sex, drugs or anything extrinsic. We create this nourishment by delving into the universe within and observing what truly brings us peace.

Success is based on how we feel, if we don’t feel good each day — can we truly call ourselves successful?

Peace & positive vibes.
