8 Lies You Need To Stop Telling Yourself Today

1. I can’t. Whether we believe we can or can’t — we’re right. The way to reprogram this limiting belief is to look at others who have accomplished what we desire to achieve and ask ourselves “if they can do it, why can’t I?”.

2. I should. Beliefs that have been imposed on us by others present themselves when we should on ourselves. It is our duty to ourselves to discover the root of the should and understand whether or not it’s coming from us or others.

3. I have to. There are only a few things in this world we “have to do”: breathe, sleep, eat, excrete waste, pay taxes & die — other than these things we aren’t obligated to do anything else.

4. I wish. Wishing for our situation to be different is the best way to ensure the changes we seek never occur — we must assume responsibility for why we are where we are today. If we want things to change we must start by changing something we do daily.

5. What if. Delving into the past and considering how things would be different if we acted differently only creates resistance to the way things are today. Acceptance of what is reveals the path to peace.

6. I’ll be happy when. To create happiness in the future we need to address what’s taking our peace away now and take actions that our future selves will thank us for such as removing negative people.

7. I was dealt a bad hand. Everyone has their own burdens to bear, complaining about being dealt a “bad hand” is one of the ways we give up our power. We are the dealer, player & creator of our own luck — there’s no such thing as a bad hand when the game is rigged in our favour.

8. The world owes me. No one owes us anything, we must be grateful for what we have whilst we pursue what we seek to avoid creating scarcity.

Words are spells — conjure wisely.

Peace & positive vibes.
