7 Ways To Deal With Creative Blocks

1. Perspective — blocks don’t exist. When we empower ourselves with positive beliefs such as “there is no such thing as a creative block” we move out of the victim mentality and into the creator mindset. We are divine creators that came here to play, there is no limit to what we can create.

2. Nature — cleansing the energetic body. Being indoors and surrounded by technology interferes with our natural frequency and this is why it’s essential for us to immerse ourselves in nature regularly. When we are in tune with the natural frequency of the planet we will find peace of mind & feel inspired to create.

3. Meditation — clearing the mind. Making time to be present with ourselves in meditation is a great way to set aside the mental baggage we accumulate through the day. Once we have freed up the mind of the thoughts, beliefs and judgments that no longer serve us we will find the energy to create.

4. Mindfulness — being in the now. One of the most common reasons why creative blocks occur is judging ourselves during the creative process and these judgments present themselves when we drift from the present moment. When we are in the now we are able to look within ourselves and allow our true expression to flow.

5. Rest — taking regular breaks. A creative block can be a sign from the universe that it’s time for us to take a break and this is when it’s important for us to make time to do nothing each day.

6. Purpose — remembering why we started. Often times we can lose sight of the reason why we began creating and this can lead to us lacking the motivation to pursue our craft. Removing everything externally associated with our craft and focusing on what it does for us is a great way to reignite our passion.

7. Practice — improving our skill level. It’s unrealistic for us to expect every single piece we produce to be a “masterpiece” and this is why it’s important for us to create with the intention of improving our skill level as opposed to trying to make sure our work is “good enough”.

Limitations only exist within the mind.

Peace & positive vibes.
