8 Creative Tips For Artists Or Anyone Who Wants To Be One

1. Don’t overthink it. Creative blocks arise when we remove ourselves from the present moment by imposing ideas of what we “should” be doing onto ourselves.

2. There’s no such thing as perfect. The need for perfection can prevent us from ever being content with ourselves, we must keep in mind that everything we create is already perfect.

3. There’s no such thing as done. Leonardo Da Vinci said “art is never finished only abandoned” because we must acknowledge when we’re ready to move on to the next piece.

4. Create to make yourself feel good. Creation for any intention other than to truly express ourselves compromises the quality of our work. Authentically expressing ourselves is how we create a body of work we can be proud of.

5. Imitating others is great practice, but add something of your own.Recreating the work of others is an effective way to build our skill level, but the world already has what others have offered — it needs what we have to offer.

6. Take breaks — regularly. Burning out can result in giving up on our creative endeavours completely — the chances of burning out are significantly reduced when we implement regularly breaks into our creative schedule.

7. Nature can serve as a form of inspiration. Spending in the presence of greenery helps us oxygenate the body which results in better mental & physical performance. Being away from technology gives us a break from the frequencies we are absorbing from our devices.

8. Drugs don’t make you a better artist. Drugs may help you to stop doubting yourself — but ultimately they are bringing you into the present moment. The only place where creation takes place.

The now is where creation takes place.

Peace & positive vibes.
