8 Ways To Heal A Broken Heart

1. Perspective — time heals all wounds. Healing from any significant pain is a difficult process, but we must keep in mind that everything in our human experience is temporary. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.

2. Nature — being at one with the planet. Immersing ourselves in nature has so many healing benefits, the peace & quiet we find in nature greatly helps us in accepting how we feel which is one of the first steps in the healing journey.

3. Self-love — focusing on the relationship we have with ourselves. The relationship we have with ourselves is the one we will have with others, healing a broken heart also means healing the way we see ourselves.

4. Meditation — clearing the mind. Meditating may be one of the last things on our to-do list when we’re healing from a broken heart, but it allows us time to set aside all of the memories we’re reliving and be at peace with the present.

5. Exercise — making ourselves feel good. Often times we can hinder our own healing processes by only sitting still with our emotions — this is one part of the process. To fully heal ourselves we must also move into the body so that we can release energy trapped within the body.

6. Creativity — expressing ourselves. When we create we are drawing upon what inspires us in the present moment, our pain can inspire us to create art that represents how we feel and we can reflect on what we have created to better understand how we feel.

7. Communication — talking about how we feel. Heartbreak is painful, but talking about how we feel will allow these emotions to work themselves through us without resistance. Trying to ignore how we feel will force these emotions to manifest in other ways such as poor mental & physical health.

8. Community — our positive vibe tribe. Surrounding ourselves with positive energy helps us to find joy in hard times because those who care about us will try to uplift us instead of allowing us to wallow in our sadness.

Time heals all wounds.

Peace & positive vibes.
