7 Easy Ways To Strengthen Relationships With Loved Ones

1. Communication — the foundation of every relationship. When we make time to be present with our loved ones we are actively strengthening the relationships we have with them. Communicating with our loved ones brings us closer together as we are taking an active role in their lives.

2. Honesty — building trust. Being honest with our loved ones, and ourselves, can be difficult — but this honest forms a strong foundation for the relationship we have with others. If we can be honest with our loved ones we will experience deep and meaningful connections with them instead of hollow interactions that mean nothing to us.

3. Love — our most powerful tool. Expressing our love to our loved ones is important for strengthening these relationships. This does not have to be in the form of actively telling them “I love you” — we can show them appreciation by doing simple things like cleaning, making dinner and foot rubs.

4. Food — more than just fuel. Eating and preparing meals with our loved ones is a great way to bond with them. Helping out in the kitchen is a great way to start conversations, share responsibility and take in interest in what our significant others are going through which strengthens the bonds we have with them.

5. Common ground — doing things together. Doing things we enjoy with our loved ones gives us time to bond with them and connect whilst we’re in the love vibration. This could be running, lifting weights, walking or playing with animals — anything that involves movement and communication would work wonders.

6. Empathy — being there for them. Being the shoulder to cry on or the ear to listen for our loved ones is a great way to show them we care and that they aren’t alone during whatever hard times they may face.

7. Patience — running the marathon, not the sprint. The important thing to remember when we’re trying to strengthen these relationships is that it takes time to build something that is meaningful and fulfilling. Keeping the long-term vision in mind will help cope with the challenges we may face in the short-term.

Life’s too short for unfulfilling relationships.

Peace & positive vibes.
