8 Reasons Why You Need To Drink More Water

1. Energy — our bodies are made of 80% water, we need it for our basic functions. When we are dehydrated we can experience low energy which is when we feel the least motivated to do anything.

2. Headaches — the best way to prevent headaches to stay hydrated. Coffee, alcohol and processed foods can leave us dehydrated which can lead to headaches — drinking water regularly throughout the day is a great way to keep headaches at bay.

3. Mood — when we provide our body with everything it needs it runs like a well-oiled machine and when our body is performing at its best we feel good.

4. Immune system — keeping our bodies hydrated can help to prevent diseases like the flu, cancers and heart conditions. Water also keeps our joints lubricated and prevents joint damage and muscle sprains.

5. Digestion — digestion regularity is maintained by drinking water, we can avoid constipation and digestive discomfort by keeping ourselves hydrated. A great way to improve digestion is by drinking warm/hot water with meals.

6. Complexion — water helps us maintain the largest organ of the body, our skin. Drinking plenty of water every day leaves our skin clear and reduces the chances of getting acne.

7. Toxins — to flush toxins out of our bodies we need to be hydrated, this can reduce our chances of urinary tract infections and kidney stones. Toxins from harmful drugs such as alcohol can also be flushed out of the body with water.

8. Weight loss — one of the most powerful tools in our arsenal whilst losing weight, alongside sleep and exercise, is drinking plenty of water. Water increases our metabolism, satisfies appetite (but is not a meal replacement) and can remove by-products of fat.

Take care of your body, you won’t get another one.

Peace & positive vibes.
