Top 4 Team In IPL 2019 playoffs — Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will now move on to the next phase of the battle and play to bag the IPL 2019 trophy.

Both CSK and MI have won the IPL three time, whereas DC is yet to even reach the finals. SRH had won the IPL back in 2016 and reached the finals last year.

The top three teams- MI, CSK, and DC have been fairly consistent in the league stages and it came as no surprise to anybody that they took the first three spots. However, the fight was still on till the last match of the IPL 2019 group stages for the fourth and last spot. MI took on KKR, in a must-win match for KKR. It was meant to decide who will take the last spot- SRH or KKR. Yet, an underwhelming performance by the Knights ensured that SRH took the last spot and qualified with only 12 points, thus creating IPL history- the first team to qualify to the playoffs in the IPL cricket games with only 12 points.

This is how the lineups look now in IPL 2019:

Qualifier 1: Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians in Chennai on May 7

Eliminator: Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad in Vizag on May 8

Mumbai Indians (18 points):

MI had emerged victorious IPL 2017 when they won the trophy for the third time. But their performance in IPL 2018 was below average. Everything was a mess for them, and they even failed to make to the playoffs last year. This year in IPL 2019 MI came in with a more determined spirit, and Pandya’s exceptional form helped them greatly. Both Quinton de Kock and Pandya took the team on their shoulders and played brilliantly.

Both Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga did their best, and the young Rahul Chahar was a revelation. They finally finished the group stage by being at the top of the table, after defeating KKR by a landslide. The powerful performance by Quinton de Kock, helped MI to win by 9 wickets giants KKR. This not only made them the table toppers but also washed away all the playoff hopes of KKR. MI thus managed to finish their last game at their home ground with a bang.

Chennai Super Kings (18 points):

CSK has as usual with consistent throughout this years IPL cricket games. Barring the two Dhoni-less matches that they played, they were at their best. They were the first teams to qualify to the playoffs, and very deservingly so. While Watson, who had scored two hundred in IPL 2018 was not at his career best, other players managed to step up and win matches. Dhoni is having a marvellous season, which is great news for Team India, as the World Cup is approaching, and Suresh Raina too raised the bar in the later matches of the group stages of IPL 2019.

Faf du Plessis returned to his original form, with a smashing 96 against KXIP. Both Tahir and Harbhajan Singh have bowled with ease and brilliance, while the former managed to get 21 wickets off 14 balls in IPL 2019. CSK have made it to all the IPL playoffs that they were a part of, and have again continued with that streak.

Delhi Capitals (18 points):

For DC reaching the IPL playoffs is a much bigger deal than for any of the other teams. They reached the playoffs after seven whole years. After a horrible season in 2018, Gautam Gambhir had to step down and the whole team went through a revamp. Finally, with a changed name, changed jersey and a completely different team Delhi Capitals came back all guns blazing in IPL 2019.

Delhi Capitals : one of the top 4 team in IPL 2019

Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly took over the coaching reins, and Delhi Capitals roped in a young bunch of Indian cricketers. Shreyas Iyer led his team with flare, and players like Rabada, Prithvi Shaw and Pant made their mark. More experienced players like Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Chris Morris, made their mark when the team really needed them. With a great, all-around performance DC have finally made it to the playoffs of IPL 2019.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (12 points):

SRH led by David Warner lifted the coveted IPL cricket games trophy in 2016. In IPL 2019 they became the first team in the IPL cricket games history to qualify to the playoffs with only 12 points. SRH started off their campaign well with Bairstow and Warner powering the team to some great totals. Warner managed to score the maximum runs in IPL 2019 and is the current orange cap holder. However, things started breaking apart when both Warner and Bairstow had to go back on national duty for the upcoming World Cup.

This greatly hampered the team, and SRH was left clinging for something that was amiss. The great opening stance of Warner and Bairstow left a hole that SRH was unable to fill, but what really propelled them was the great net run rate they have acquired, again thanks to Bairstow and Warner. While SRH both of their last matches, they were still on top of KKR with the same point because of their net run rate.

All KKR had to do was win the last match against MI to get 14 point s and qualify to edge past SRH. However, the formidable MI defeated KKR, which helped SRH qualify for the playoffs, where they will face Delhi Capitals. These are the Top 4 Team In IPL 2019.
