We are so proud to have Mr. Allen V. Dam join the Spores Network Team as Chief Content Officer.
With a background in Visual Environmental Studies & Economics at Harvard University, he started his career at the legendary William Morris Agency’s mailroom and went on to work at Fox Animation under the guidance of Christopher Meledandri, founder of Illumination Entertainment on famous films such as Robots, Ice-Age: The Meltdown, The Simpsons Movie, and Horton Hears a Who!
After 11 years in Hollywood, Allen moved back to his motherland in 2008 and started working at China Film Group Corporation (CFGC), the largest and most influential state-owned film enterprise in the People’s Republic of China. He produced Bull Brothers, an animation film (starring Shu Qi, Tong Dawei, Wu Jiang) and the animated series Didi Bangbang, 104 episodes aired on BTV KAKU Children’s Channel (Beijing’s only government-owned children’s channel) and major platforms, including Tencent, Youku/Tudou, iQiyi, LeTV).
Allen joined Dadi Film in 2017 as a producer and immediately helped the Chinese exhibition giant acquire distribution rights to sci-fi masterpiece Black Hole by Brad Peyton (best known for directing the San Andreas and Rampage) as well as Sylvester Stallone-fronted action sequels The Expendables 4 and Rambo 5 in eight-figure co-fi deals.
