SporosDAO Use Case: Rabbit Hole Studios
Rabbit Hole Studios is a physical community center shared by a collective of local musicians, artists, craftsmen, non-profit organizations, dance groups and entrepreneurs. Rabbit Hole Studios offers hourly recording/rehearsal space for bands, private office space for small businesses and event space for all sorts of community-first initiatives.
The Rabbit Hole Studios mission is to provide safe and affordable spaces for people of all colors, creeds and classes to experience joy, to collaborate on individual and collective aspirations, and to participate in acts of artistic expression together. We provide a place to build community and learn new skillsets so we can thrive in fellowship and mutual aid.
Rabbit Hole Studios also incubates various non-profit educational guilds like our culinary mushroom co-op, community garden co-op, and a decentralized record label DAO and audio engineering guild. The Rabbit Hole Studios guilds require careful accounting of labor to ensure that if any future investment or compensation flows to the guild, that ownership is equitably distributed to the members that contributed labor and that consent of the group is achieved every step of the way.
It is for these reasons, we’re very excited to be working with SporosDAO to help us safely create LLCs that grant reliable protections for our guild members using environmentally-friendly blockchain tokens. The Sporos Sweat Equity System allows for tokenized equity to be retained by contributors if these ventures ever result in profitable business models or traditional investment opportunities. Rabbit Hole Studios also looks forward to moving our existing governance procedures on-chain for maximum transparency and security! One of our key strategies for growth is to embrace sociocratic governance methods and we believe blockchain to be the most effective platform for us to govern on. SporosDAO is exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
