September 14, 2020:

Max Player worked four furlongs in 51.60 at Churchill Downs

August 31, 2020:

Max Player had his last workout before the September 5th, Kentucky Derby. Max went an easy four furlongs at 49.80 at Churchill Downs.

August 24, 2020:

Max Player worked five furlongs in 59.60 at Churchill Downs.

“George Hall and SportBLX Thoroughbred’s $1 million Travers Stakes (Grade I) third-place finisher Max Player recorded a swift five-furlong move in :59.60 Monday morning at Churchill Downs in preparation for the $3 million Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (GI) on Saturday, Sept. 5.”

It was Max Player’s first workout since his third place finish at the Belmont Stakes.

In his last workout before the June 20th $1 million Belmont Stakes, Max Player had his best outing yet!

It was Max Player’s first workout over the main track after breezing primarily over the Belmont training track.

Max Player worked in 12.4, 24.4, 49.4, 101.4, 113.4. The first two times represent 1/8 of a mile. The third time is the 1/2 mile time. The last two times are the 5/8th mile and ¾ mile times. One furlong is 1/8 of a mile. The 5 furlong time of 101.4 was quicker than his previous workouts.
