One of the biggest sports arguments as of right now is; who is the best basketball player of all time. Most people think this isn't even a question that should be asked, but then you ask them and they tell you two different stories of two different players (Lebron and Jordan). Since these players played at two different times it is hard to compare certain aspects of their games with one another. With Jordan retired you can not just have them play each other and see who wins one-on-one, but even then it is hard to see who is the best overall player of all time. There is a lot more to it than just who can back the other down and score or who can stop the other one because it is a team sport.

Some people say Micheal Jordan was only great because of the team he had around him. He did have some of the best teammates. For sure it does make it easier to play next to Scottie Pippen and Denis Rodman. Scottie is one of the best players at his position. Denis Rodman was the best rebounder in the league. He was the best rebounder of all time. Then there are people that are saying have you see the team LeBron plays for? Did the forget about Kyrie and Kevin Love? Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Ray Allen, when he played for Miami. That right there would be a good group to run up and down the court with, without a doubt.

The other thing is to start comparing stats. Lebron has won three of nine finals. Michael Jordan was a perfect six and zero in the finals in the NBA. But then just recently LeBron has passed Micheal in the all-time scoring list. It took Lebron just 16 years to pass Jordan. Jordan only played 15 seasons in total. Counting his first retirement through his second. Jordan ended his career with 32,292 in 1,072 games, LeBron scored 32,311 in 1,190 games, It took Lebron 118 more games to outscore Jordan.

LeBron is still playing and breaking all-time records and different teams records. It is amazing to see someone keep that competitive fire in and out of 16 plus seasons from the King (Lebron). LeBron has more assist, points, and rebounds than Michael Jordan had in his career.

A lot of people say that the reason they think that Michael Jordan is the best player of all time is that he was averaging above 30 points-per-game in the post-season. The fact that Lebron has lost so many finals and Michael never had a single loss in the finals and has six rings. He also has two three-peats; meaning that he won three NBA finals in-a-row two different times. Michael Jordan never went into game seven in the NBA finals.

Jordan also won six finals MVPs. Every time his team won the NBA championship he won MVP. Michael Jordan was also never asked to play the way LeBron is played. Michael Jordan was told to be a scorer and that is what he was. Jordan also was defensive player of the year. He is also one of four players to ever win defensive player of the year along with league MVP. Hard resume to compete with.

However, LeBron can guard all five positions and play all positions, Jordan could never do that. Lebron also has to play super teams. For example Steph Curry- greatest three-point shooter of all time. Clay Thompson- one of the better defensive players on the team and has the ability to go off anytime. Kevin Durant- one of the best players to ever play his position. His height at 6'11" playing a guard spot on the floor.

The reason that puts MJ ahead of LeBron is how no matter what he as going to play basketball. MJ only scored less than ten points one time in his whole career, due to the fact that he was injured before the game and only played 16 minutes in the game. MJ never just sat in the paint and watched from on the court as so-called King did. One of LeBron’s teammates had to push him out of the lane to go and guard someone. How do you play with someone who just gives up on you and your teams chance to make the playoffs? You would never see MJ just going through the motions. His teammates have come out and said that they did not like to practice with Jordan because if you were not giving it you all than Jordan would fix you back into shape.

After watching similar videos on the internet. (Yes there are more than one where he gives no effort for his team). How can one someone who is this lazy on the other end of the court?
