Strategic Partnership Announcement — Dapper Labs
Following the spotlight article on closing the investment from Libertus Capital, Animoca Brands, and Folius Ventures, we’re happy to announce that we’ve chosen to build on Flow.
Sportium announced today that it has successfully closed an investment from Dapper Labs, following our recent announcement of a funding round led by Libertus Capital.
Concurrently, Sportium will build out our multi-sports NFT platform on the Flow mainnet.
Dapper Labs is a Canadian blockchain company that recently gained global attention with the huge success of their sports NFT collectibles platform NBA Top Shot. Within the NFT community, however, they’re considered as the industry pioneer due to their development of CryptoKitties way back in 2017.
Flow is the only layer-one blockchain originally created by a team that has consistently delivered industry-leading consumer-scale web3 experiences including CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot. As of today, numerous global brands including Warner Brothers, UFC, and Ubisoft, e-commerce unicorns such as Shopify, and game developers like Animoca Brands are partners of the Flow ecosystem.
This reinforces Sportium’s endeavors to become the global leading marketplace and ecosystem to play with, trade, and earn sports NFTs.
