KU Sport Management Students Continue Work with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs

For the second straight year, University of Kansas Sport Management students are working with the Kansas City Chiefs during 2018 game days. Students are heavily involved in two areas this season: Corporate Partnerships and Ticketing.

The Kansas City Chiefs Corporate Partnerships and Suites Game Day staff are a part of a dynamic team that engages clients and partners within the sports, entertainment and hospitality spaces on behalf of the organization on game day. Through the execution of their assistance with activation, hosting, field pass check-in, and other game day tasks presented by the Chiefs, the KU students ensure consistent high-level service to Chiefs partners, suite holders and longtime Chiefs fans.

“Having the KU Students be a part of our Game Day staff is critical to our success,” Brandon Ramos, Partnership Activation Coordinator and KU Sport Management graduate said. “Being able to have a reliable staff that interact with our suite members, corporate partners, and Chiefs fans makes a enormous difference for our department. The experience the KU students will gain throughout the season will go a long way in helping them kickoff their careers after graduating.”

As the Chiefs, and the NFL as a whole, transition to mobile ticketing, dozens of KU sport management students will be spread throughout the outside of the stadium to assist fans as they enter the stadium. Students will also have the opportunity to experience all that goes into the ticketing process and work closely with Chiefs employees during the year.

“The Chiefs have been a wonderful group for us to work with during my time at KU,” Sport Management program director Jordan Bass said. “We have a number of great alumni with the team and our students have gained valuable experience with the organization over the years. We are all extremely excited to see this relationship continue to grow this year.
