Undergraduate Major Named Sporting KC “Star Player Employee of the Month”

Undergraduate Cassie Enriquez, Sporting Kansas City Guest Services Employee of the Month for March 2017

We’re very happy to announce that Cassie Enriquez, a junior in the Sport Management program at the University of Kansas, was named the “Star Player Employee of the Month” at Sporting Kansas City for her role as a Premium Host in the Guest Services department. Enriquez is originally from Olathe, Kansas and serves as the Vice President of the Sport Management Club at KU and is a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She also works with the University of Kansas Athletics department as a Marketing and Fan Experience Intern and has volunteered at numerous other sporting events, including the NCAA and Big XII basketball tournaments.

“A huge part of the job is to make each fan feel like they’re at home from the moment they walk into Children’s Mercy Park to the moment they leave. It is expected of us to walk into suites and strike up conversations with fans and make them feel comfortable around you so that they see you as a friendly face on game day instead of just as an employee going through the motions of their job,” Enriquez said. “I feel honored to receive such an outstanding award at my age and in my position. It’s always a good feeling when you get recognized for doing a good job especially when it’s something you’re passionate about.”

Congratulations, Cassie and Rock Chalk!
