Ranking the Best UAAP Season 82 Basketball Players Part 2: Game Score

This series will use different advanced basketball stats and metrics to rank the best UAAP Season 82 Basketball Players.

As defined by nbastuffer.com, game score is a player evaluation metric which can be considered as a simple and linear version of the Player Efficiency Rating (PER) by John Hollinger. Though in contrast to the PER, game score does not take into account the league pace and the stats that the metric uses simply adds it up according to its given weights. This is the formula for game score:

To simplify the formula, the following weights are given to each stats as seen below:

The metric values Points and Steals the most which is likely due to a point and a steal results to a score. Offensive rebounds, assists and blocks come in second. Just like the points created metric, turnovers has the most negative in the metric followed by field goal attempts. This may nerf some of the bigs due to rebounds and blocks having less weight when compared to how points created weighted the stats.
