Champions League treble: Sportsbet’s tipsters give you their Tuesday choices
The Champions League returns on Tuesday night and millions of fans around the world will be tuning in to see some of Europe’s very best do their thing.
Spanish giants Barcelona, French champions Paris Saint-Germain, and German giants Bayern Munich are all in action.
Below, Sportsbet.io’s resident tipsters have picked out the perfect Tuesday treble to help you land some extra Bitcoin. Remember, #BetBigWinBig!
Paris Saint-Germain v Arsenal (Tip: Draw @ 3.62)
Last season’s Ligue One winners just haven’t been the same since losing the irreplaceable figure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United.
They currently sit seventh in the table having only won two of their opening four matches and have fallen behind a Monaco side who smashed them 3–1.
Life doesn’t get any easier for the Parisians on Tuesday night, with Premier League side Arsenal their opponents in the first round of group matches.
But Arsenal themselves have hardly been pulling up trees, having only narrowly beat struggling Southampton last week — their second win in four.
Sportsbet.io price the draw up at 3.62 and that’s a result Arsenal will certainly settle for and one that PSG may be forced to.
Barcelona v Celtic (Tip: Barcelona to win to nil @ 1.70)
The shock of the season so far happened last weekend with La Liga powerhouses Barcelona crashing to a narrow defeat against Alaves.
At a price in excess of 30/1, newly promoted Alaves weren’t given a snip yet, despite scoring a late equaliser against Atletico Madrid a weeks prior.
It was a warning Barcelona took lightly as manager Luis Enrique left Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi on the bench, only to lose 2–1.
Enrique won’t make the same mistake again and fans can expect a super strong line-up against a Celtic side who beat Rangers last weekend.
They scored four in the Old Firm derby but are rubbish in the Champions League (one goal in four away games) and wont get a sniff at the Nou Camp.
Sportsbet.io make Barcelona to win the game to nil 1.70 and that looks worth a place in our treble with the home win far too short at 1.09.
Bayern Munich v Rostov (Lewandowski to score the first goal @ 2.19)
Nobody had heard of Rostov until the qualifying stages, and then they went and smashed Ajax 4–1 on their own patch.
The Russian side had previously held the Dutch side to a draw in Amsterdam, but they’ll struggle to do the same away against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Bayern have started their season exactly the way they ended their last, and that’s in scintillating form. They have already scored eight goals in two games.
Unsurprisingly those games ended in victory and that happening again against Rostov looks nailed on. The only issue is value — there is none.
The German side are priced up at a very, very slim 1.07 to win which is of no interest. What is of interest is Robert Lewandowski to score the opening goal.
He’s did exactly that last weekend against Schalke and already has four for the season and we fully expect him to add to his tally here.
Sportsbet.io make him 2.19 to score the opener and although it’s a tad on the short side it’s with every reason, and that completes our treble.
Treble — 13.48/1
PSG v Arsenal (Draw)
Barcelona to win to nil (against Celtic)
Robert Lewandowski to score first (against Rostov)
