Italian football: Back Roma to get one over on city rivals Lazio in their hunt for the cup

Juventus put one foot in the Italian Cup final with victory against Napoli on Tuesday night, with two Paulo Dybala penalties earning them a 3–1 win.

It’s the turn of rivals Lazio and Roma on Wednesday night and our resident tipster fancies the latter to take a first-leg advantage at 2.22 with

Roma are currently the closest thing Juventus have to a challenge when it comes to league football, sitting six points behind the Turin side in second.

They have won 11 of their previous 13 games in the division and have a squad strong enough in depth to challenge for a trophy as well.

Standing in their way are city rivals Lazio, who are a further nine points behind and would like nothing better than to knock Roma out.

However, Lazio have failed to beat their opponents in their previous seven head-to-head matches, losing their previous four.

They will be bouyed with their record of just two defeats in their previous 14 home games, but one of those defeats was at the hands of Roma in December.

It seems unlikely that Lazio will end their poor run against Roma on Wednesday night, so back Roma to win at 2.22 with will be offering a range of markets on every game throughout Europe’s top flight, so remember #BetBigWinBig
