Premier League picks: United to bounce back and Lukaku to fire Everton to win

After a mostly successful midweek for English clubs in Europe, the Premier League continues with a full fixture list this weekend.

Manchester City head the way coming into week five after an impressive display over Manchester United last time out, with Pep Guardiola’s men hoping to continue their winning run since the Spaniard took charge in the summer.

At the other end of the table, Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke are all searching for their first win and to kick-start their season.

Looking to keep up his equally impressive beginning to the campaign is the Sportsbet.io tipster, who runs the rule over the best bets from this weekend in the Premier League

Jose Mourinho was not a happy man as Manchester United fell to back-to-back defeats

Watford v Manchester United — Sunday 18 September

It was all going so well for Jose Mourinho at United until the derby last weekend.

After being outplayed by City, Mourinho’s men then fell to 1–0 defeat against Feyenoord in the Europa League, with question marks over the performance of £89million man Paul Pogba.

Next up for United is a trip to Watford, who came from 2–0 down to beat West Ham 4–2 last weekend.

While the Hornets looked as impressive in that win as United looked flat against City and Feyenoord, I still think the Red Devils can turn it round with victory on Sunday.

Perhaps due to recent form, United are 1.63 to win with Sportsbet.io, which is longer than expected.

At that price, I’m backing United to get back to winning ways.

Romelu Lukaku scored a hat-trick as Everton beat Sunderland 3–0 on Monday

Everton v Middlesbrough — Saturday 17 September

After enduring a miserable season under Roberto Martinez last year, new manager Ronald Koeman has breathed new life into Everton.

Three wins from four and sitting in third, the Toffees are optimistic for the season ahead.

Middlesbrough too have started well, with the promoted club’s ambitions solely focused on remaining in the division.

While they will be pleased to sit in ninth, I shouldn’t have thought they will have enough to trouble Everton in this match.

The ultimate confidence player, Romelu Lukaku ended a run of 11 games without a goal with a second-half hat-trick against Sunderland last time out.

With the belief flowing, I think he’ll find the net again against Boro.

Sportsbet.io make it 1.64 for an Everton win, with Lukaku 1.94 to score any time, which I like the look of.
