The 2021–2022 NBA season will officially tip off on October 19th. As teams continue to train and set their rosters for the upcoming campaign, a number will inevitably find that they have some holes that require attention if they plan to be a legitimate contender. Although the premium free agents on the market have long since signed contracts there are still quality veterans available who could make a real difference to a team with its eyes on the playoffs, including these three.
Bismack Biyombo, Forward/Center: By modern NBA standards, Biyombo is a bit of a dinosaur despite having just turned 29 last month. The 6'8” and 255-pound big man is a rebounding and defensive specialist (although his defense has slipped in recent years), who has taken 89.4% of his field goals inside of 10 feet of the basket during a 10-year career.
Since being the seventh overall selection int hr 2011 draft, Biyombo has averaged a little over 20 minutes per contest in 702 games. During that time, he has posted averages of 5.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.
