Every 2021 Summer Olympics Event Ranked, from 1 to 41
I watched every single Tokyo Olympic event over the past two weeks and ranked them all from best to worst.
AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE 2021 TOKYO SUMMER OLYMPICS ARE A WRAP. We waited four years, then a whole year extra, and suddenly two weeks have flown by and we’re down to our last few gold medal events before waiting another full Olympic cycle for more. I’m gonna cry.
Despite NBC’s greatest efforts, I spent approximately 15 hours a day the last couple weeks streaming 2–3 events simultaneously on multiple devices, soaking up every last second of available coverage. Along the way, I managed to watch at least a little of every single Olympic event, finally culminating yesterday with rhythmic gymnastics and “modern” “pentathlon.”
Today, I’m ranking all 41 events for you. Not on prestige, nor athletic prowess. Not American dominance, nor medal count. Nope. I’m just ranking the 41 Tokyo Summer Olympic events on sheer awesomeness.
