He made $300 million dollars winning the World Boxing Organization’s 147-pound championship, but he failed to pay the $200,000 sanctioning fee in order to keep the WBO belt. And now, Floyd Mayweather Jr. may lose the welteweight belt he won beating Manny Pacquiao.

It’s not just the fees, but by the rules, you’re not allowed to hold multiple belts in different weight classes. He was supposed to vacate his World Boxing Association and WBO 154-pound belts. He’s said publically he will do so. But he didn’t and now he’s missed the deadline.= of June 1st set by the WBO.

If it happens, it won’t affect his boxing record and it won’t mean the belt will go to Pacquiao.

Anybody think it’s just another stunt to set up a rematch?
