Basketball prospects come and go. Size, quickness and scoring ability are all rare traits that are looked for, and when found still don’t always translate into success. However, when a young player does hit, they can be a transcendent force, especially when they reach basketball’s biggest stage — the NBA. 7’2” French 16-year-old Victor Wembanyama is currently wowing a multitude of people with his elite package of size and skills, which is so impressive that he might just be the NBA’s next megastar.
Wembanyama is impossibly slender, checking in at around 198 pounds despite his towering height. The good news is that at his age he has plenty of time to fill out his frame and could even add a little to his length, which includes a wingspan of 7’8”.
